Saturn (Venus Sport)

Several of the original cantaloupe-colored Venus plants. sported to a rare and highly sought-after sport known as Saturn - a unique yellow variant of Venus. I learned that Venus is originally a sport of the variety Mars (solid red novelty open center), so it’s naturally more prone to sport than others.

In my field, these particular plants bloomed as Venus (cantaloupe-colored) periodically throughout the season, but often reverted back to yellow.
